Kuala Lumpur, 11 May 2026 — 《真的相识过 Because of You Ka Kui》Special Screening x Re:spect Tribute Concert is set to take place on 6 June 2026 (Saturday) at Aurum Theatre, The Exchange TRX.
Audiences will experience the Extended Version of the upcoming music event film 《真的相识过 Because of You Ka Kui》, featuring exclusive additional footage not included in the version coming to Malaysian theatres, alongside a special live tribute concert and exclusive limited-edition merchandise bundles that fans won’t be able to get their hands on anywhere else.
The event will feature The Re:spect Band, a specially formed band of Hong Kong and Malaysian rock musicians, coming together for one night only to perform a live tribute honouring the legacy of the Canto rock legend and his enduring influence on rock music.
More than a film, 《真的相识过 Because of You Ka Kui》 is a big-screen musical tribute experience dedicated to the life, music, and artistic spirit of Wong Ka Kui — the visionary frontman of Beyond, widely regarded as the most influential Canto rock band of all time.
Tickets for 《真的相识过 Because of You Ka Kui》Special Screening x Re:spect Tribute Concert are now on sale on the GSC website. 《真的相识过 Because of You Ka Kui》 will be released in Malaysian cinemas on 11 June 2026. Additional releases in Hong Kong, Macau, and China will be announced later.
